Hi! Tommymac from DailyKos (most recently – many dem blogs before that). Just joined the Tuesday Group. My interests are seeing true progressive (read liberal) candidates and issues supported. I consider myself a fighter defending against the destruction of the Middle Class in our country by the Corporate Oligarchy. I am pro union, pro government, pro human rights, and believe in the Bill of Rights and the Constitution. I beleive in Representative Democracy. I think UNFETTERED, unregulated Capitalism is a deadly enemy of Enlightened Democratic processes. I think we are only as strong as the weakest among us, and it is our sacred duty as human beings to empower and uplift those who are less fortunate so they have the opportunity to bootstrap themselves into a better life.
I will no longer support just any Democratic Candidate; Joe Lieberman, Blanch Lincoldn, Bart Stupek and the rest of the Conservadems have shown me the error of letting DLC Conservatives in Progressive ‘clothing’ and Blue Dogs run our party. I want to help remake the Democratic Party back into the Party of FDR and Truman, JFK and LBJ; not the party of Bill Clinton, Harry Reid, and Rahm Emmanuel.

I am a life long Democrat and have been active in politics since the 1970’s. I am a union electrician and 32 year member of the IBEW. I started my own business in 2006 (electrical contractor), union shop of course. I was so pumped up about the 2008 elections but have been disappointed since then with the Democrats. My donations now go to Act Blue and DFA candidates now. I will contribute weekly. My user name on DailyKos is nancat357.

Hi! I’m Krista Swisher aka “CityLightsLover” on Daily Kos. I’ve always had an interest in history, my undergraduate degree. So, at least an eye on politics seemed to go hand-in-hand. I didn’t contribute to a political campaign until Barack Obama & my local rep, Andre Carson. I despise hypocrisy no matter where it comes from. While I’m still happy the POTUS 2008 election turned out the way it did, the current administration has 3 big strikes going against it in my book. First, their failure to investigate and/or prosecute the previous administration for their crimes (war & otherwise), the s…l…o…w repeal of DADT, and the s…l…o…w action on sending DOMA to the time of the dodo. Their action or lack thereof in the HCR area gets a dishonorable mention, too. Is is so much to ask a politician to OCCASIONALLY practice what they preach? I’d be down with cloning Senator Bernie Sanders, Rep. Anthony Weiner, & Rep. Alan Grayson. ;D

My political participation has been voting up to the point of this year when I decided to learn about dk and volunteer for a campaign. I picked Jennifer Brunner. I am working on 2 diaries now on her behalf concerning our economic difficulties here in OH. I have participated in a phonebank and have met her in person briefly.

Hello All! I go by ladykline in my online political activities, because some of my clients are allergic to politics. I’m an energy efficiency and sustainability consultant and advocate. Born and raised in California by a couple of socialist eco-freaks, and determined to keep fighting to pull our country back from the far-right policies of the last decade. Trying to maintain hope for true progress, even in the face of recent disappointments. Happy to have a place like PBPAC where I can give money to candidates that actually excite me!
I think you guys came up with a good idea, but have horrible ambassadors for your cause. After reading the latest rant by Ministry of Truth filled with profanity, insults, ignorance and just overall unbalanced rage, I can’t join or help you out. It’s a very bad reflection on your organization, and I’m just not comfortable with becoming a member after reading his work. But I wish you much luck and support the same people you chose. I hope you can make a difference.
You need to tell him that if he is trying to sell your brand, not to insults a large swath of potential clients with this insulting diary.

The same goes for the person he said is his girlfriend who he lives with, who tries to help him pull in new members. Just is not even going to happen for you with this.

Jack, thanks for your feedback – I wrote this comment earlier but it appears that it didn’t post for some reason. In our defense, I’d point out two things:
1.) MoT’s girlfriend, CITS, doesn’t work for the PAC in any capacity, so we have no control over anything she writes in her diaries and she doesn’t represent us.
2.) MoT’s style is bombastic, it gets noticed and gets on the rec list at DailyKos. At the end of the day, we don’t control what he writes either, even though he does represent us – I’m sorry you’ve taken issue with his latest effort.
We’ll discuss what you’ve written at our next steering committee meeting and I’ll personally let you know what shakes out, ok?
